How many times have you heard people ask, “where did the day go?” or, “I can’t believe it’s night time already”. I’m sure we all wish that we could turn back the hands of time for whatever reason. When we were young, time never seemed to be a major issue. We focused more on having a good time, playing and doing all the fun things to make life exciting. As the years passed, we begin to think about what we didn’t accomplish, and start writing down items to complete. We start to value that thing called time.
Time is a precious gift that can be used to get closer to God, be creative, and do what’s most important to you. You can travel, learn new things, take a cooking class, work out, or just sit and read a book, etc. Side-tip – toxic relationships can also steal so much of our valuable time; both emotionally and physically (use time to re-evaluate the relationship that you hold onto so tightly – and ask yourself, is it worth my time?).
The most valuable treasure God gave to us is the gift of time. Now we find ourselves saying, “time is of the essence” or, “if I could turn back the hands of time”. So yes, what we do with our time does matter. Do you waste is being angry, mean and bitter? Or do you enjoy each day in a peaceful state? Are you treasuring those around you, and thanking them for being in your life? How about positive reinforcement or lending a hand, who could you assist in this area? Don’t forget about time needed to fulfill your dreams and passions. Remember, we only are given so many seconds, minutes and hours of each day to live our dreams. Don’t let anyone steal that time away from you. Time can be stolen in so many ways: idol conversations, petty people, just wasting time, too much television, or just coexisting (just a few examples).
Remember, let’s use our time wisely and focus on those things that deserve every precious minute we have. For every season there is a time………Ecclesiastes 3
How will you use your time more effectively? Let me hear you
