Constant boredom is a sign that you are in need of a LIFE-lift!
Have you ever had someone say to you, “I’m so bored, or, there isn't anything to do? What do you say? What is your natural response? Do they actually think you have the remedy? Boredom is an expression of our sense of emptiness and limitation. We think we’re functioning properly only if we do certain types of activities which is inherently wrong. We’re designed to do anything and to enjoy everything within reason.

I've heard people say that they are bored and they don’t have anything to do. I can’t fathom being bored because I always find things to do. I've learned to be content no matter where I am in life. Funny thing, I've had people come sit at my house while I was busy doing housework; all because they were “bored”.
When I became divorced years ago, I realized that I could not count on others to fill my time. I learned to value myself and create an environment in which I was content. To this day, I can sit at a restaurant, go to the movies, shop, and just enjoy being at home- all by myself. Well, now that I’m re-married and my daughters are older, I may not have those times to be alone. The house is always filled with laughter, music, bickering and noise. When my husband leaves for work, or shooting a show, I am “okay” although I miss his company and companionship. I’m sure it gives him assurance to know that I am self-sufficient and will survive until he returns. My daughters? Well, they have their own agendas – they probably wouldn't even notice if I were to appear bored..LOL.
Don’t let boredom control your life and destiny. Learn to turn boredom around and use the same energy to renew and enjoy your passions. Read, expand your mind by taking on a new hobby or something, reinvent yourself or ideas. Whatever you do – remember everyday is a gift – it works!
Here are a few suggestions to assist with getting rid of Boredom:
Read your bible and pray
Change your routine by adding one new activity to your schedule each week.
Take a new way home- so often we get in our cars and go straight home – the same way -no variation.
Visit your favorite coffee house, pick up a pad and begin to write. Great books, songs and poems have been inspired like this.
Realize that boredom is a state of mind – change your thinking
Start to speak positive reinforcements to yourself
Enjoy being with YOU!!
