S itting at work this morning and I just became so overwhelmed with Thankfulness. It was so powerful that I felt the tears trying to swell up in my eyes. I stopped what I was doing and took a moment to reflect on why I’m so thankful. As I started thinking, I saw how all things were connected in my life and how blessed I am.
We don’t need to wait until November to be thankful. So I felt like sharing my road of thankfulness, and maybe you too will take some time to reflect on your own lives. This is not in chronological order but they are highlights.
Married young had two gorgeous girls who turned out to be the best daughters ever. I believe when God is first in your life, he will remove and keep you from situations that are not healthy for you. With that said – he removed me from a man who wanted a different lifestyle. I was free and a much happier mommy. He saw fit to give me a second chance at love with a man who loves me and we have a very natural friendship and loving marriage. Yes, we have spats -who doesn’t? But the best thing is, our spats don’t last long and we are learning the art of communication which keeps us going. I love my best bud - my special husband.
Thankful to have had a great mother who loved three of her children unconditionally. Her and my father gave us the best life ever – never wanting for anything. Even at 92, she was always trying to tell us what to do (smile), but you loved her no matter what.
Traveled to Fiji and Samoa years ago (missionary work), from that experience, I became a worship leader and to date, I still enjoy leading his people into worship.
I developed great relationships over my life and I love those who are in my life even though we don’t speak too often.
It helps that being a Child of God and Favored is why things have always worked out for me – even when I thought things were a mess.
If you take a moment to reflect, I’m sure you can list many reasons to be thankful -now and not in November.
